Trade Union Survey | Walking Tour

A Chairde,

Following on from our recent Ard Fheis, the Campaigns Group are currently surveying CATU members on trade union membership, as well as on developing our relationships with trade unions. The purpose of this information is to better understand levels of trade union membership within CATU, as well as the issues trade unionists within CATU are facing around housing specific issues. The results of this survey will inform our work going forward on building relationships with trade unions on the island. Additionally, we are seeking to establish a forum for trade unionists within CATU.

Please take a couple of minutes to complete THIS FORM if you can.

Please note all responses to questions, and those that may be deemed to be of a personal nature are handled in a confidential matter and no individual respondent will be referred to in any future analysis of the outcomes of this initiative. Any identifying data will be viewable only by designated members of the CATU Campaigns group working on this motion. If you have any further queries please contact: [email protected]

Also, CATU will be contributing to Financial Justice Ireland's Culture Night event on Friday 22 September, touring Dublin's International Financial Services district. The concept of this tour is a simple but effective one: to make real the abstract nature of globalised finance by taking a journey through the streets where it conducts its business. It is also a walk through Irish history, from the War of Independence to today’s world of transnational capital. The 5pm meeting point is the James Connolly Statue, Beresford Place, Dublin 1 and the tour will take you along locations from Liberty Hall, into the North and South Docklands. This tour is for everyone of all ages and will be especially interesting to activists, educators and researchers interested in people, power and economic and financial justice. You can book your spot on the tour HERE.

Additionally, if you can help out with volunteering (incl. stewarding) for the walk, please drop myself or Aisling [email protected] an email.
