TONIGHT: Hustings Session 1 - Union Admin

A reminder that the first of this year’s Ard Fheis hustings sessions takes place this evening, on Zoom, at 18:30. The link to access the session can be found below:

You can also now read and review each and every motion via the below spreadsheet. There are 19 motions in total (although this may ultimately reduce slightly in the event of any merges being agreed during the hustings).

The spreadsheet also contains links for each hustings session. The 2nd one will take place on Monday with the 3rd and final one on Tuesday. Reminder emails will issue on both days next week.

Lastly for today, you can now review the slides from last month’s vacancy workshop. Within the slides you’ll find a link in the slides to an excellent digital/interactive map made by one of the workshop facilitators, Maedhbh. The map shows the level of vacancy and causes of it (i.e. why a property is vacant) at census small area level based on the most recent census data. It might be helpful for members to understand how big an issue this is in their area and what the causes might be.
