Public Housing Organising - Training Day - Nov 25th

We are happy to announce the union’s upcoming National Public Housing organising training which will be taking place on Saturday, November 25th from 12pm-6pm at Liberty Hall, SIPTU on Eden Quay, Dublin 1.

This training and will give members an understanding of how to plan, execute and win public housing campaigns. On the day we will be sharing examples & learnings from across our union and supporting attendees to develop their own local campaigns and host large public meetings and sit downs with local government representatives.

Travel expenses, accommodation and food will be catered for the day.

Please register with both the Eventbrite and Google Form (the latter for travel compensation, accommodation needs and dietary requirements).

CATU members travelling from outside Dublin can avail of having their travel expenses reimbursed by the union. The use of public transport and carpooling is heavily encouraged. Those travelling down who need to avail of accommodation from other members can do so in the above Google Form. The space made available to us by SIPTU is quite large so we would encourage members from across the country to sign up and attend with your fellow branch members.

We are requesting branches nominate 3-6+ members of their committee/membership to attend the training. This is due to the practical nature of this training, which will be focused on education and workshops on building each branch’s capacity to undertake a public housing campaign in their local area.
