A chairde,
The Cromcastle Court flats in Dublin 5 have been neglected by Dublin City Council for decades. Residents have been left living in dangerous and unhealthy conditions, often with no hot water or heating, leaks, broken windows, rubbish not being collected and many other issues.
The promised regeneration project has been delayed over and over and meanwhile DCC and the Land Development Agency are building new apartments on the underpass site beside the flats, which shows there is money available for housing when the government wants there to be.
We demand that everyone living in Cromcastle Court who wants one is given priority for a transfer to a safe and healthy home, and that all maintenance issues are addressed for those remaining in the flats.
Join the protest march starting outside Block 2 tomorrow (Thursday) at 10.30am to demand DCC take urgent action to provide safe and healthy homes for Cromcastle tenants.

We’ve just received a new shipment of CATU Cat and Slumlords Out t-shirts! There are also a limited number of scarves remaining in stock. You can order yours at the link below:

On Saturday, March 8th, the CATU Connacht Forum is happening at Teach Solais, Galway. During this regional gathering you’ll get the opportunity to shape the future of the housing movement in the West. Together with your fellow union members, you’ll have a chance to dig deep into the issues that matter most, and to strategise for the action we so urgently need.
The day will focus on a unifying campaign that’s gaining momentum across the region: Homes Not Holiday Lets. This is our chance to take a stand, amplify our collective voice, and plan actions that will make a real impact.
This forum is a space for your ideas, your energy, and your commitment to the housing action movement in Ireland. Come, get involved, and help drive the change you want to see.
Please fill in the registration form here: https://forms.gle/ETS6zKLF6n7HZfBz6

The union’s LGBTQ+ caucus recently held a meeting to discuss the future goals of the group. They subsequently put together a questionnaire which will allow them to gauge members’ perspectives.
If you’re an LGBTQ+ member, you can fill out the questionnaire at the link below, and you’ll also find details on how to be added to the caucus WhatsApp group should this be of interest.
