CATU will be attending 2 protests this week called by the Raise the Roof coalition - the first is tomorrow (Tuesday) at 18:00 outside Dáil Éireann, with the 2nd taking place on Saturday in Cork, assembling from 14:00 at the National Monument, Grand Parade.

Raise the Roof is comprised of trade unions, housing and homeless agencies, political parties, representatives of older people, children’s advocacy groups, community organisations, student unions, Traveller groups, housing academics and many more.

Both protests are titled ‘This is an Emergency - All Out for Housing’

We would encourage branches and members in Dublin and Cork to attend one of the protests. Of course, we’re building towards the major National Housing Demo on July 5th and this will be an opportunity for us to spread the word about that as well.
