Formal Invite to Ard Fheis 2024 - Voting Now Open

A chairde,
You are invited to CATU's 2024 Ard Fheis, which will take place in Tailor's Hall, Dublin 8 on September 14th. The theme of focus this year is Housing Action and the Fight for United Communities.
Come along for a day of discussion, reflection, workshopping and socialising. We'll have the results of this year's submitted motions, a strategy workshop, an exciting panel with some guest speakers and lots more besides.
You can find a working agenda for the day below:
Ard Fheis 2024 - Agenda
Free transport can be arranged for anyone joining from outside Dublin who might need it, as well as solidarity accommodation. Drop me a line at [email protected] to arrange this.
Registration is required to guarantee attendance. While every effort will be made to accommodate all who wish to join, capacity is limited so registration allows us to manage numbers and plan accordingly.
Registration for Ard Fheis 2024

*****
Voting is now OPEN for this year’s Ard Fheis motions. You should shortly receive an email from the Choice Voting platform with your unique voter login details. If you haven’t received yours by lunchtime, let me know.
Some important things to note:
= You will find a PDF attached to each motion. These are the final versions of the motions and in several cases there have been updates to motions, subsequent to our hustings sessions. As a result, please ensure you read the attached PDFs when making your decision about which way to vote (as opposed to relying on the versions you may have read during the hustings sessions).
= While most motions require a simple yes or no vote, the campaigns motions are grouped together. As per union rules, only 2 campaigns can pass each year but 4 campaigns motions were submitted for 2024/25. As a result, for these motions you will be required to make 2 selections according to your preference. The 2 campaigns motions with the highest votes will be passed for implementation and the remaining 2 will not.
= Voting is open from now until 23:59 on September 13th. Results will be announced at the Ard Fheis itself, on September 14th.
You can review video recordings and minutes from each hustings session at the link below (minutes from session 3 will be added shortly). If you weren’t in attendance at the time, we would strongly encourage taking some time to review these sessions so that you can make informed decisions when voting.
Please let me know if you have any questions on any of the above. Happy voting!
