A chairde,
Once again - and for the foreseeable future - we start with details of this week’s Palestinian solidarity protests and related events.
The IPSC’s Dublin March commences at the Spire this week at 1pm. Belfast’s protest starts at midday at Writer’s Square. In Limerick, it’s 1pm from Bedford Row and in Cork it’s also 1pm at Grand Parade.

Details of further protests throughout the island on Saturday are below:
Derry - Home Bargains - 2pm
Nenagh - Banba Square - 12pm
Ennis - O’Connell Square - 11am
Portrush - The Amphitheatre - 1pm
Gorey - Main Street Roundabout - 17:30
Sligo - GPO - 3pm
As always, the IPSC will have updates on upcoming and ongoing events so make sure to follow them.
Tomorrow (Friday) at 1pm, there will be a protest outside the Dublin offices of Israeli company WIX in response to their outrageous sacking of an employee, Courtney Carey, after she dared to express solidarity with Palestine online. The event is co-organised by Dublin for Gaza, People Before Profit and Trinity BDS. The location is The Reflector, 8 Hanover Quay, Grand Canal Dock, D02 DP23.

Final reminder on the Munster Organiser position - applications close at midnight tonight. You will find a full job spec HERE and CVs/cover letters should be sent to [email protected]

For the first time, via Unite Youth and CATU, tenants and construction workers will come together to dissect and discuss the island's housing crisis, how it acutely exploits young people, why secure and decent employment must be part of any solution and where the trade union movement needs to play its part.
An afternoon of presentations and workshops, including on Universal Public Housing and climate responses, will features CATU's Ulster Organiser, Conal, joined by Unite Construction Branch Officer, James McCabe.
The event takes place on Saturday, November 4th at 1pm in the Unite Offices, 55/56 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1.
The event is open to all under 35y/o, with discussions feeding into Unite Youth’s submission to Unite’s housing policy. Refreshments provided. Please book your place by contacting [email protected]

CATU D7 West - which covers Cabra, Stoneybatter, Smithfield and the surrounding areas - is having a branch social this coming Monday, October 30th.
Join them from 7pm in Walshe’s in Stoneybatter for a drink and a chat - and also give the branch a follow on their shiny new socials - Instagram, Facebook and Twitter

Last but by no means least, one last push for the Trade Union survey which closes tomorrow. If you haven’t had a chance to make your submission yet, it only takes a few minutes and you can do so HERE.
