For this year’s Ard Fheis, the union’s National Committee have introduced a new feature, namely a Member Spotlight. The idea is to celebrate the work of a number of members across CATU who have gone above and beyond in their dedication to building community power.
You can nominate any member of your choosing at the link below and nominations will close on September 10th.

CATU Ballymun-Finglas will be delivering a training session this Saturday, September 7th at 11:30 in the Axis Theatre in Ballymun.
They will be covering member defence, recruitment and any other topics attendees may wish to cover. All members are welcome to attend - from any branch.

We’re currently working on building supplies of merch which will be available to buy on the website and at events - to that end, we’re looking for a shoot assistant who would be available on September 28th (backup date October 5th) to assist with a photoshoot. If you have experience or an interest in photography/production or fashion, please get in touch with Azzy at [email protected]

The Rather Gather community event is returning to Mud Island Community Garden in Dublin 3 this Sunday.
It’s a transcultural multidisciplinary event for all: performances, poetry, comedy, jam sessions, open mic, bazar market, arts exhibitions, food stalls, music, and lots more besides.
CATU Dublin 3 will be there on the day running a stall and there is space for other branches who might be interested in taking part.

Lastly for this week, our friends at MASI (Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland) will be hosting a conference to mark their 10th year anniversary on October 19th in Trinity College, Dublin.
They are calling on volunteers to assist in different areas. If you’d be available to support in some way, you’ll find a registration form at the link below.
