CATU News - Week 35

CATU News - Week 35 ☀️

A chara,

Firstly, a final reminder that applications for our 2 open roles - as Staff Coordinator and Temporary Organiser - are closing at midnight tonight. If you’d like to apply for either role, make sure your application reaches us at [email protected] by then.

Huge congrats to the crew involved in putting the Rent Strike documentary together. The film’s first screening drew a completely sold out crowd in Liberty Hall last Friday and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

The New Tenant newspaper, which launched in tandem with the film, can be purchased from Connolly Books in Dublin in case you missed a chance to pick it up on the night.

Speaking of kudos - CATU Belfast’s recruitment day last weekend was an enormous success with more than 40 new members (!!) signing up at stalls across the city. Each corner of Belfast was covered with stalls taking place at 6 locations.

Lastly for this week - because it’s too hot for a long newsletter - CATU Mayo have experienced some nice growth in new members recently and they spent some time doorknocking in Castlebar earlier in the week.
